Subject: A Lot Better SF Out There...

...but not in movies or television series. An exception might be the STNG.

I don't think I liked Firefly as much as I liked Buffy and Angel, but I tended to like it and to be patient, just because it was one of Joss's offspring.

Joss may be hampered a bit in entering the SF field, as most of the really good SF writers are very knowledgeable about science. Fantasy is more his baliwick, and I'm looking forward to see what he does with Wonderwoman. (Another cool thing about Joss is how he tries to even the scales a bit in the portrayal of women. And, sure enough, it was there in Firefly with River. It would have been nice to have seen that developed naturally in a TV series.)
