Subject: yes, but season 4 of xena isn't like season 1 of buffy. how are seasons shot in general?
In reply to: Majin Gojira 's message, "Airdate does not equate to Filmdate" on 00:25:25 08/02/06 Wed

ALL of S1 of buffy was shot before it was aired, so they were able to edit in scenes from the season finale into the season premiere..

but xena's seasons were shot like any normal season. and gabrielle had short hair, which is compounding the problem.

question:
how do they usually shoot seasons? isn't it like an episode a week, starting summer? 22 episodes makes 22 weeks, so assuming they shoot for two months during the summer, that's 8 eps. when fall starts, they have to shoot the rest of the episodes while the ones they already shot are airing.

am i right or do i have a a major misconception?
