I don't what (yet) anybody else said here, but "they" did Conner wrong for sure. His best episode (myop), the first one Angel 3.20 "A New World".

I hate to critize any of Buffy/Angel, I always say my favorite Buffy or Angel (I just say "Buffy" meaning both) season is the one I'm currently watching or the one I last watched. Same thing for my favorite episode.

But hindsight makes it easy to say "I wish..., or maybe". They had two chances for Angel to offer or ask Holtz to stop the vengence and join him in the good fight (saying the need for a true righteous man on the team). Once when still young, i.e. the Lilah/Holtz scene's. Second chance: When he was old. Angel should have invited him to come live in the Hotel. i.e. privicy if he wished, see Connor or not, Be Angel's judge & executioner at need.

I think Charisma Carpenter getting (irl) pregenant messed up the planned story line. Cordelia was intended to be the "Jasmine" originally, with The Beast of the Apocolypse of the Biblical Book of Revelation (Number: 666) appearing much later in Season 4.

What they did to get around that, awesome. Faith & Wesley being her Watcher again, even for an episode or two, was the saver (again, my opinion).

But the Conner/Cordy boinks, was just wrong. A better line maybe, Have Conner go back to Sunnydale with Faith & Willow. (Remember Willow observation: "...and the smile's genetic, who knew?"). Toss the Handsome, yet androgenous Slayer-lovin' young man in rooms full of hot young potentials. Would have been funny...

Did you notice that Sunnydale lost all power (for news, Tv, etc) just as Jasmine was gaining "sway" over all of California? (Not the Dingoes song "Sway", silly...!)
