Quite right. Must...remain...unhappy...no, I can't. I'm uncertain whether TV Tome have got this right or not obviously but I'm in the mood to believe them at the moment and it's the most positive indication I've read. I may not move from in front of my TV until the New Year. I have plotlines already written and I'm just waiting for the Director General to phone me and beg me to let him use them .

It would be nice to have confirmation from the Beeb certainly but the very fact that it's come from a background that's been essentially rumour-free in this regard AFAIK for some time now lends it some credibility I think.

Perhaps if I work myself up into enough of a frenzy I can force the BBC into it irrespective of their plans. There's no real indication of the extent of Joss' involvement of course what with the other projects he's taken on recently and it's possible he wouldn't allow the character to be used without some oversight of the project. We'll have to wait to find out I suppose - it not being announced by the BBC at this stage is no indication as regards intent.
