First about Hex. There seems to be some confusion over the series. Some say the series was cancelled after season 2. Sci fi not too long ago showed season 1. I watched Hex on space which showed a lot more than 8 episodes. Seasons 1 and 2.

If the series does come back that will be the best news I could hope for.

Now as for witchcraft. Let me rephrase what wrote earlier. I was very upset.

I have talked to real witches who all praise joss for how portrayed witches and the craft. I tried to share those thoughts about witchcraft and witches on a buffy fan board and got a lot of hostile comments that anyone who believes in witchcraft is nuts.

I don't know if witchcraft or majik is real but I am not going to mock and ridicule anyone who claims to be a witch. So many buffy fans are like that group that willow met when was a freshman in college. Only interested in the wiccan aspects of fellowship and respect for nature.

The naivity when willow first got involved in witchcraft is very much the case when some people begin playing with spells and ouija boards. Soon realize the extent of the power they are fooling with. Some are scared off but others become overwhelmed. Almost resulting in what happen to willow.

Just like we have many different religions. There is different forms of witchcraft and different beliefs that witches will choose to follow. Then you have magicians not the copperfields who are slight of hand experts and illusionists. Real magicians will perform occult spells and dark magic. Some may not have a moral compass. You should be on guard around anyone like that as well as pagan witches. Wiccan witches wouldn't think of doing harm.

Witchcraft is ancient european mysticism and still has mystery surrounding it. Then have ancient chinese mystics even more mysterious. Voodoo is downright scary.
