The end was about the only thing I really liked about it. That made a lot of sense.

As Bones said in the very begining, it wasn't a case the FBI would be terribly interested in, even though state lines probably were crossed. I didn't care for bringing Dr. Gripey along on the field investigation mostly to make political statements. Not that he couldn't have made them in the lab, just as well. I thought Bones experiences in El Salvador as revealed in this episode were also on that level, more an empty statement to get knee jerk sympathy, than being true to the character. After being jailed and threatened with her life, she swore to do what? Wait till some Salvadoran clown grabbed her roughly somewhere in the States, then beat the tar out of him? It doesn't ring true.

The visual of the cherry-red 'dried blood' on the bed post was all wrong, and the actual 'crime' was a masterpiece of bad luck and strange positioning. Just too many odd coincidences that add up to very little in this one.
