Subject: Bones and Booth (spoilers for last nights episode.)

The biggest problem I had last night was with me not the episode. If I was, say 20, and hadn't seen 50+ years of TV, I might say it was a heck of an episode. It was about as exciting as they could make it. But, we Joss fans see Adam Baldwin and think this guy is not to be trusted no matter how sweet he's acting. (I wish I'd been wrong and they'd made him a reccuring character!!) In general, heroine in that kind of danger is getting a little trite for me, personally. It was a very enjoyable episode, but it's a little old-hat in light of all the cop shows with women leads these days, that throw in an episode much like this one where it's 'Perils of Pauline' just like the old days. I think it worked better in the past episode where Booth handled protecting her in the background without her even knowing it.

The building affection between the two of them is nice. But does anyone one else get the creepy feeling if they ever get together (assuming the show is renewed) that they will quickly break up and for the rest of the run of the show they will be hurling insults at each other?
