No, I don't believe everything revolves around Newtons Balls, formidable though they may have been. I believe that fate is what it is. We all owe god a death, as Hank the fifth says. Some of us will likely find it surprising and unpleasant when it happens. There's no outsmarting that destination, although that movie had its cute moments.

So I think you have to be who you are, or even better, be who you aspire to be, rather than worry about avoiding any kind of prophesied fate. I don't believe in prophecy because I don't believe anyone knows how its gonna turn out. So the prophecy is likely wrong. However, if it isn't wrong, and they do know, then surely it occurred to them that I might run the other way. If its fate, its fate. There's no getting around it. When you face it, you're either a proud hero, like Reverand Scott, or whimpering on your belly, like Mr. Rogo.

I hear they're remaking that, by the way.

Anyways, I think Wesley concentrated on correcting fate rather than fulfilling his human potential.
