My understanding of blood flow in the human body is that it has less to with the pumping of the heart and more to do with a principle in physics that deals with polarity(I think). For example, if you put water in a tube with a small enough diameter, the water begins to climb up the sides, because the attraction of the water to the sides is strong enough to overcome gravity. This is how root systems work in very tall trees(to get water to the top), and also how I think blood travels through the human body. Someone theorized something about muscles helping out too for vampire blood flow. Put it all together, and I could see it being conceivable.
