It's funny you should say this, because my mother said something similar when she came to my place for some Angel Season 1 viewage. I'm not sure myself, Skip (the liar that he may be) once mentioned that everyone has a sort of intuition and in some way are connected to the Powers That Be. The more psychic they are the more connected they are. This is probably why they used Lorne to trace the calls that they thought the Powers were sending in 'That Vision Thing'.

It's probably why Angel took the scroll that mentioned the Shanshu Prophecy when he didn't know why. He just knew to take it intuitively. Powers That Be? I think so.
