After the end of S7 I posted my personal list of the top 25 dramatic scenes from BTVS. The closing scene from BY was No. 1.

The scene you mention from Passion was indeed great. What's truly remarkable is that it was, IMO, "only" the second best scene from that ep, the first being Giles' discovery of Jenny's body. There was outstanding acting throughout the show.
