By coincidence, Beneath You was shown this morning on FX. That scene with Buffy and Spike in the church was simply great drama. Spike pouring his newly acquired soul out, Buffy realizing what Spike had done and shedding a single tear, the music, the lighting and then Spike draping himself over the cross as his skin sizzled. Just amazing! Sometimes, it is the presence of a single scene in an episode that lifts that ep to great heights and secures a place on my favorite episode list. That scene did it for Beneath You.
