In case you are, my view is this:

Lee's fundamental moral choice was, of course, wrong. IMO, he shouldn't have fought at all.

Assuming the harder question -- if you fight for the right cause, when do you have the obligation to cease fighting? -- my answer would be that you never stop fighting, but that you may have to change the way you fight.
