This is all very interesting. I think the issue is not just how Ana-Lucia integrates into the front of the plane group but how all the tail enders integrate. In the initial episodes of this season where we first see the tail enders, I was struck by the different approaches of the two groups to their situations: our group (the front of the plane people) built a golf course, the tail enders built a dungeon. Of course, now we see the very different experiences of the two groups. Why did the Others go after the tail enders and not our group? Recalling last year, there was a non-passenger (I can’t remember his name) who kidnapped Claire and Charley so I assume the Others were aware of the front enders. Did they abduct Claire because she was pregnant and they seem to have some sort of special interest in children? Why didn’t they attack our group? What is the difference in how the Others perceive the two groups? Does this mean none of our group are “good persons” as Goodwin said to Ana? All very mysterious. I can see this show will be somewhat like The Fugitive in the 60’s, even people who lose interest in the story are sure to tune in to the series finale. It is going to be a real test of the creators/writers to bring this story to a conclusion without a deadening thud.
