And from one source (www.telus.net), Serenity didn't even crack the top 10.

Some better stats, also from telus.net (so some might be missing, but it's what I can access fast):

In Alberta, it played in 9 cities, with a total of 20 theatres. (Opening weekend was very centralized, if you didn't live in one of the major cities, you faced a two-hour (plus) round trip.)

In British Columbia: it played in 20 cities, with a total of 25 theatres. A little less centralized, but only two theatres in Vancouver??? Okay, maybe this site is missing stuff.

In Ontario: it played in 11 cities, with a total of 21 theatres.

Again, a caveat. I went to where I knew I could find information fast -- so these numbers may only show part of the totals. I hope so! (Besides, there's also 6 provinces and 3 territories that I don't have stats for.)
