Name: Blaise Fravardin
Age: 23
Description: Blaise is tall, lean, and lanky, though much more muscular than he looks. He is 6'4". His hair is white-blond and his eyes are dark brown. His nose is long and appears to have been broken and healed just slightly crooked. His skin is moderately tanned. He usually wears dark breeches and shirt and knee-high leather boots. In each boot is a concealed dagger. He also carries a short sword and knife on his belt. When walking, he carries his longsword on his back, but when riding, he straps it behind his horse's saddle with his harp. His weapons are nondescript but efficient, as is his musical instrument. His horse, Einar, is a tall roan gelding.
Personal History: Blaise comes from a middle class family that lived in a small village in the Shrimer Marshes along the western edge of Pliartha, on its border with Dildgen. His parents and siblings were killed by Dildgenese raiders when he was 7. His grandfather, a mage of skill but not of renown, managed to whisk him away before the raiders found either of them. They moved eastward aways to get away from raiders and settled in the town of Gorrton (still in the Shrimer Marshes). They were granted a room at a boarding house for the price of monthly charms for wealth and security. Blaise's grandfather did odd jobs in the town to make the rest of their livelihood. Blaise was raised by all the boarders, who taught him to fight, ride, play, and sing. At the age of 18, he set out on his own to make his way in life as a bard. He found, however, that the bardic lifestyle did not satisfy him completely. He became a bit of a vigilante, taking the law into his own hands when he saw fit. He now classifies himself as a warrior bard, and at the start of the story is wandering around the Rhonde area.
Demeanor: Blaise doesn't like to see people pushed around, and often sticks up for the underdog. However, he does not have the sense of honor that knights do, and will justify the means of his exploits with the ends. He is fiercely loyal to friends, but has almost none, as he is distrustful of others. He is overall very cynical, but he usually means well. He is not afraid to speak his mind, and does so without fail.
