In reply to: Jess 's message, "*blinks* ... let me think about this? *she sits, frowning.*" on 00:22:45 09/02/02 Mon

She explains her answer aloud, trying to convince herself as much as her listener that she was right.

"Well, the subject of the riddle is really small, and used to be an enemy - but now it saves millions of lives instead. An enemy I can think of is disease. The thing that causes the diseasem the pathogen, the cells that infect, would definatly be an enemy in older times. But now they use those same cells to vaccinate people and save millions of lives by protecting people from disease. So the cells that used to be enemies are now friends, and indeed if you aren't vaccinated, your person could catch the disease and get into trouble."

She watches Hawk intently, hoping.

"That's wrong, isn't it?"

She laughs shortly

"I've always sucked at riddles."
