For those who are interested, the shortlived column by the short, fat, BBC Sport senior producer/Gills fan that used to appear on the GISC website currently lives on as a private emailout. I got a huge email response last season when the column disappeared so it has been resurrected in a private email format (so as not to upset anyone out there!) and we've just passed the 100 subscribers mark.

Recent topics have included loan signings and, rather timely this week, the old dummy corner routine!

I thought we battled really hard last night and I have to give credit to the team for that. Osborn played well and so did the defence. Nayron worked harder than Ive ever seen but his passing was average. We deserved a point I thought for our hard work! I hope Ade's injury is not as bad as we all fear because the guy rules and Id hate to see his season wrecked! All the best to Ade and see the rest of u at Man. we have 2 get earlier train as works on lines.
Westgate leaves 8:50
Herne Bay leaves 9:02
arrives faversham 9:07, get off cos of line works and get bus 2 Rainham which arrives at 10:15.
And train leaves at 10:23 from Rainham.
The train will arrive at Rochester at 10:34.
And finally we will get to Victoria at 11:18.

What was with the performance today? It started OK but went downhill from there. Our style is too predictable and our forwards seem to try their best to miss every chance they get. We also hit and hope too often, we need a creative midfielder and a DECENT left back as Edge looks very vulnerable. That said the defence looked slightly better until the last 15 mins.

The site is running behind as I am re-designing it and taking it down a different route.

All things going well, gillsUK will be a "Gills Database" of players stats for recents seasons and results of all our pleague and cup games going back to the 1920's (wish me luck!).

The site has a new design which is taking time to process through all current pages, match reports etc.

The new site should be online by Monday with updates occuring very frequently.

A thousand appologise but I think it'll be worth the wait :-)

I was told something rather disturbing today by someone who has in the past been right in matters concerning the Gills,but this time I hope,and am fairly,but not 100% sure he is wrong.He reckons that Hessenthaler is preparing to step aside and that Joe Royle will shortly move into the managers seat.Now I must admit I am no fan of Hess as a manager.A player yes (last night excepted),but from when he was first given the job I was not in favour,thinking he should have another couple of years alongside someone else first.But NOT Royle.He is a bufoon of the highest order,surpassed only by "Cry Baby"Keegan.I am sure it can't be true,but I had to make my feelings known.If Royle should come in my S/T would go in the bin and I would not set foot inside priestfield until he had left.

The line-up was totally wrong. Shaw should NOT have started up front and should have been removed or re-positioned at half time. He didn't win a single ball in the air and wasn't accomplishing anything up front. Saudners, for all his efforts, could not stand up to the impressie Wolves midfield and this should have been thought about at half time also.

Ipoua should have started with King up front, NOT shaw.

Buters did trumendous when he came on as did James.

Ipoua & King up front on saturday please, Shaw just behind them or on the bench and James to start right-back. Butters in for Ashby should the ban start this saturday.

I'm a Bradford fan just back from the game tonight.

I've got to commend your away support tonight - never once did they get on the players backs, they celebrated Marlon King's goal in great style (Gills MOM by the way) and stayed to the end to applaud the side off the field.

Impressed.

Well well well this has livened up the message board considerably! Seriously though, me and Little Adrian have been discussing all this whilst cuddled up in our likkle cupboard over a cup of coco, and we think it has to stop! Erm, that's about it really, can't be bothered to say why we think it should stop (more interesting things to do ;)) but tis just very annoyigng all this arguing. PS: Anyone coming Thursday better behave themselves...we'll have no tears, no arguments and no being plain ol' mean!!!

PS: If anyone is interested, the APFC raised 150 squids by walking on Sunday...we are quite proud of ourselves, we're not showing off or anyfing, we are just pleased that we managed to do something worthwhile and tis something happy to talk about :)

For all those of you who are our friends and actually give a sh1t about anybody (the owner of this website currently doesnt fall into either category), the APFC are doing a sponsored walk from Strood the the Cricks in Gillingham ttomorrow, starting outside Mc Donalds in Strood (the one near Matalan). We will be all Gills-ed up in flags scarves and bannners to generally make fools of ourselves and have fun while making money for a worthwhile cause. Anyone who would like to join us feel free, we'll be leaving about 12 and the more the merrier.

The approximate route will be through Strood High St, over the bridge, through Rochester old high st, possibly up star hill and along the new road, rejoining chatham high st at Argos, along the high st, then backwards round the one-way to go through Brompton, through Gillingham High St, pas priestfield and up Toronto to the pub.

Sounds a good plan :-)
