It was all getting so complicated, and she hated that. But what he had said was false...she had returned his feelings, for the most part at least. So she had left, she had come back right? Didn't that say anything to the man? Rubbing her eyes with frusteration and groaned. Men.
'Listen, I... I'm not sure what it was that we had before, but Luke...i don't understand. I left...yes i know that. Do you think i haven't kicked myself enough for that already? I ...' her voice cracked and she looked down, her frown deepening as she faught to bring the suppressed words to her lips. 'I love you Luke. I do alright. And if you believe that or not is entirly up to you but... please, just forgive me.'
Her words floated out on the breath of a sigh, defeat and utter acceptance etching her now slumped frame. Her gaze down cast and a headache beginning to pound in her temples, she turned to leave, leading the mare back into the barn.
