Alas, it was yet another day. The sun rose with nagging serenity over the already smouldering sea of sand, casting it's hot gave ofer the woman's prone body. Sprawled at ease on the barn's clay-bake roof Ash mummbled incoherently to herself as the sun lit upon her closed eyes. The lizzard on her belly stirred and brought her to full awareness; jerking upright with a quick breath of surprise.
'Normin! I told you never to do that again!' Catching the lizzard as it skuttled down her leg, she brough the thrashing reptile back to her. Crazy she was not, however, but lonely; very much so. It still escaped her why she chose to stay in the now deserted tribe, living with only Normin to aid her days. A soft sigh carried her mixed emotions from her heart and sent them temperarily into the air, her honey-coloured eyes staring sightlessly into the depths of the desert.
