Name: Serm
Dorm: AA
*Serm storms down the stairs into the Great Hall, his fur still slightly wet from the bath he had been given, but still bristling angrily. The squirrel didn't understand it! He had been listening to one of the elders stories (forced to, of course) and said it was boring. The elder defended it's lousy story, and it ended me in the bath! The elder was the one who had started the whole thing, telling such a boring story and all. Shouldn't it be him in the bath, not me? It didn't matter. He was leaving the abbey for good. It was a boring old place anyways, stuffed with elders, with baths aplenty. It was better to leave than stay. Serm had set his mind firmly on this belief.*
*Serm enters the orchard and looks around. Seeing no one but a couple dibbuns, the squirrel slips behind a tree thats branchs extended all the way to the top of the wall. He begins to climb, being careful not to slip of be seen by any passing elders. After shuffling around to the back of the tree twice to avoid the prying eyes of nearby elders Serm makes it to the wall. He jumps on to it and scrambles down the wall facing Mossflower. He jumps the remaining few feet on to the wet, moist Spring soil and looks around, smiling like his cheeks were stuffed with acorns. He was free!*
*Serm bounces around merrily, laughing and yelling joyfully. This goes on for a couple moments before the squirrel remembers he is still within catching range of the elders. Stifling spurts of laughters, he bounds into the green undergrowth of Mossflower. His tunic snags on a branch and he tumbles forward, landing in a heap by an ancient spruce tree. Serm picks himself up and continues through the forest at a more controlled pace.*
*The sun was setting, casting bright colors across the normally blue sky. Serm had sat down with his back against an oak tree, trying to ignore his growing hunger. The squirrel had gone deep into Mossflower woods, and there was no sign of the red walls of the Abbey. Even worse than his hunger was his thirst. The squirrel hadn't had a drink since breakfast, and even then he hadn't had that much. Now he wished he had brought provisions. He hadn't thought about the long term arrangments. Now he would have to sneak back to the Abbey and steal some food. Only he didn't which way the Abbey was.*
*It was dawn. The sun sparkled overhead, casting a bright light over the Abbey. There was a loud, booming knock on the Northwest door, and Ma Mell opened it to find Skipper, holding a sleeping Serm in his arms. Ma Mell took the squirrel and carried him back to the Abbey, thinking of a suitable punishment for him when he woke up.*
