You have been cornered in the dormitory by the elders. They want to give you a bath as you have been playing in the strawberry patch and then you went to play digging with the moles. Plan your escape you can use anyone to help you .
I backed further into the corner, hoping still to escape the groping paws of Mother Mellus and her evil cohorts. Trinniss's eyes opened wide as I was dragged off to join the long line of dibbuns preparing for a bath. "Ma Mells, what did i do?" I asked innocently.
She turned to look at me angrily. "Where to begin, you young trouble maker?" She began to list things out, counting on her paws. "You douse yourself in honey, which, by the way, was supposed to be used for tomorrows scones. After that, you somehow get into the bag of flour, and smother yourself in that. After I catch you, you run off to the pond to 'take a bath', but instead, you start to play in the mud. It dries while you are running around, and begins to come out of your fur. You then rush over to the strawberry patch, eat as many as you can, and then smoosh the rest onto your head, by the looks of you." She said, and was about to continue, when I interupted.
"Ma Mells, was Trinniss who smooshed the stawbees on my bootiful head." I said, as I saw her drop down by the window, and hang by her tail. She had a large strawberry in her hand, and it was overripe by the look of it. "But dat's okay, i take de blame for my buddies." I said, to draw her away from the sight at the window. I saw Trinniss take careful aim, and before I knew it, there was a juicy strawberry plastered across the back of Mother Mellus's head. She turned to look at her attacker, but Trinniss was already gone, and so was I, dashing along the halls of the abbey, and toward the attic. That was the one safe hiding place, where nobody ever seemed to look. But Mother Mellus was hot on my tail, and pounding down the hall behind me. I slipped into the infirmary, and dove unver a bed, still breathing hard. Mellus thundered by only seconds after I had found my hiding place. But I wouldn't be safe for long. I slowly crawled out from under the bed, and headed towards the window.
Trinniss was suddenly in the window frame, again hanging by her tail. "Hello, Brooksong. You know you can't jump from here, right?" She said.
I looked down. The ground was three floors away, with the pond reaching almost to the wall, right below the window where I stood. "No," I said slowly. "But I can dive." I said, and launched myself from the open window. "Thank goodness for that rain last week." I said as I pelted toward the water. Then, it was surrounding me. I slipped into a comfortable paddle, and was free. For the moment.
