Soft steps entered the lone meadow, gacefully carrying the torso of silver. Dappled marks caressed her shoulders and flanks, and brown eyes gazed out amid the loose horses. Dainty flicking ears caught sound of voice, and try though she might, she could not find one she knew. Her own body was tired and weary, after many, many wanderings, and she had come to a place, where maybe, she could call home once again. Soft sunset filled the horizon, pinks and oranges pale in the sky. Raven hooves, lifted unwillingly, carrying the mare toward a tree, she stopped just short of it, where she could watch the others, and be seen. She looked for ones she had known...and as she watched, her head lowered, for she was tired, and lonely, and slowly her eyes closed, and her mind came to rest, as she slept. Her ears flickering for any familiar sound....
