\-the mare was angered-/ What? Why would anyone do that to their own child. Wanderer, listen to me. \-she wiped away her tears gently-/ Wanderer, your mother is wrong. youa re a talented filly. I am blind, adn yet I found the perfect mate. Wanderer, if any stallion won't love you because you're mute, then they are not worthy of even being around you. And your mother is a fool to say anything liket hat to her daughter. But actually, she did you a favor. Most stallions are hard headed and conceited, as your father probably was. Gentle stallions, kind stallions, don't care about outward appearances or problems. And that's what you deserve. Not some stuck up stallion, but one who truly loves you for who you are. And that will happen someday, trust me. I thought it woul never ahppen for me. I always wondered as I grew up, am I pretty? What stallion would love a mare like me? Other horses would call me disabled behind my backs. My mother would travel far and wide to find a herd that would appreciate me. And Wanderer, if your mother doesn't appreciate you for who you are, she doesn't deserve to be called your mother. You can come see me anytime of any day, and I will always be there for you. I can't see, but Wanderer, just from what you say, and your caring, sensitive ways, I can say with total assurance that you are a beautiful, beautiful filly. don't let anyone take that from you, Wanderer. Never.
