I'll state first off that the "big shocker" was not there. Who was it supposed to be? None other than Rene Dupre. Why was he not there? Well Rene really wanted to come down and be a part of the show, but Emile was dead set against it. Rene was going to drive down himself, but his car wasn't working and Emile absolutely refused to drive him. So there was no Rene. Will we ever get to see this happen? Most likely yes. Rene's bridges are not burnt with RAW because of this, it's not his fault that his Dad is a prick. So when RAW starts up next year we could all see the angle that people have been wishing would happen but never thought possible. So on to the show itself.

Match One: Flesh Gordon vs Corp. Chaos

As soon as the match was announced I wanted to hide under my chair until it was over. Thankfully it was kept really short, and *gasp* the shocker of the year, Flesh won.

Match Two: Buddy Lane vs Bobby Bass

Basically supposed to be an improptu match arranged between the two, was also over very quickly, as Bobby Bass opted to take off and get counted out.

Match Three: Kingman vs Cash Canuck

I never realized it before, but Cash was trained by Kowboy and Kingman at the same time as Duke and Josh. I really don't remember too much about this match...I was too busy snapping website pics left and right to really take in the match. Match ended when Cash went to the top rope and ended up getting a last ride from Kingman. Double D was at ringside and getting pretty vocal with the fans:

Fans: "ARE THOSE REAL?"
Double D: *pointing between the guys legs* "Is that? Oh wait, I forgot, that isn't even there."

Match Four: Duke MacIssac vs Stephen Pettipas

Was a pretty decent match actually...Duke showed that he can actually wrestle when need be. I don't remember too much about the match...Pettipas standing drop kick looked great, got a lot of height. Match ended when Pettipas went to powerbomb Duke, Kingman came out screaming about how that was his move and he couldn't do it, stare down between Pettipas and Kingman, Duke ends up getting disqualified. Josh was reffing the match and at the end of it gave Duke the fame-asser put on the Chaos match...and....and....this is still painful for me...he....he shaved off Duke's goatee! I could have cried LOL. Rumor has it that Duke was in the back trying to find tape or glue to put it back on...he's pretty funny looking without it.

**INTERMISSION**
They set up the steel cage....which surprisingly looked really good, I was expecting it to look like complete crap. I think it was about 12 feet high if I remember it correctly.

Match Five: Mike Hughes vs Bobby Rude in a Steel Cage for the vacated RAW Championship

All I can say is, wow. These two guys went all out for this one, and delivered a hell of a lot more than I was expecting. There were numerous big spots off of the top of the cage, and the psychology of the whole match was dead on perfect. Both Bobby and Kowboy bladed...and let me tell you did they bleed...it was EVERYWHERE. Mike actually managed to slice a vein...he had a layer of plasma on his face and everything from it. he said that he litterally thought that he was going to die once he realized how much blood he was losing. Anyway...I really wish i could give you a better detailed explanation to the finish, but I was runnign around trying to fix my camera which decided to fuck up right at the end of the match. All I know is that Mike and Bobby were climbing over opposite sides of the ring, Kingman came out, went over to Bobby possibly tried to stop him from getting down I'm not sure...brawl ended up taking place, and then Flesh and Cash came out to save Bobby. The ring announcer than had to announce who won the match, he made it sound like it was going to be Mike Hughes, before announcing Bobby as the winner. The place went nuts. Bobby celebrated in the ring, la la la, show is over.

I went back into the dressing room to get a pic of Bobby and Mike after the match all bloodied up and stuff, and I'm telling you they both looked like they were about two steps away from passing out. Also in some interesting news, it looks like Bobby Rude is very close to being signed by the WWF...this may have been his last match in the Maritimes.
