Subject: A Tropical Beasty Story

I was cleaning up my folders and found this. I believe I posted it on the old msg board 'bout 18 months ago but everything there was deleted. For those who didn't see it, here it is:

I was listening to Meltzer's Eyada show last night and heard a funny story. Rick Martel was the guest.
A caller from Ottawa recalled a time he saw Rick smash a beer bottle over his head during a match. Rick said he "stole" that from The Beast. The story goes that he and the Beast were in Hawaii for a card. They were slated to work together in a cage match. In a pre match promo setting up the match, the Beast smashed a beer bottle over his (own) head. Rick was really impressed with and later used it in the match the caller was referring to. Rick also noted that Roddy Piper was in Hawaii at the same time, and he too smashed a beer bottle over his head, in the Portland territory.
