That match made the most sense for the angle. In a promotion like RAW, you are going to have the same guys going at time and time again in different main events. The best solution is to differentiate the matches.
When Joe E/Chi Chi had their series in 99, the first match that they had was a great straight out wrestling match. The second was a hardcore. And another was an "old school" match with Chi Chi selling the injury.

I think that the crowd was worn out, having gone through the Joe E return, and having already seen Rude/Williams in the show.

I think that RAW made some improvements with this show. I think that the product is decent, but I do think that it is also underachieving- they have a top notch roster for an indy fed and they aren`t maximizing that potential.
