Author: First Page [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 20:40:56 04/06/01 Fri ::having made previous arrangments to show the mare at a certain time, a young girl leads in a spunky Arabian mare in a classic Arabian show halter. The bay's coat glistens with an assurance of natural beauty paired with honest elbow grease, and her polished hooves toss up small amounts of sand in the enclosed paddock. In the girl's gloved hand is a longe whip, but it is not used to inflict pain upon the mare. Both of the above are turned out perfectly, the human relaxed and confident, the mare seeming to realize that she has an audience and prancing gaily along at the girl's shoulder. But when the brunette halts and cues the mare to do the same, a ripple of excitement runs through her shining pelt- impeccably, however, she squares her hooves and arches her neck beautifully into the solid tip of the whip, held upright to give the mare a place to put her nose. Though active energy ripples through the svelte Arabian's body, she holds hooves to ground, concentrating on her handler as well as glancing around often to assess her audience and grace them with her attention. The mare's name is First Page, and she is four years old. A bay with a star and snip, the two white socks (one front, one back) serve to polish a beautiful appearance.
