WILLPOWER PART 11: DATING PROSPECTIVE

We are at the Summers' residence. Xander, Dawn, Willow and Kennedy are in the living room.
Andrew enters. He immediately walks to the living room.
ANDREW *smiles*
Guess what?!
DAWN
Uh... you got promoted?
ANDREW *excited*
No
WILLOW
There's a Star Wars convention in Sunnydale?
ANDREW *very happy*
Wouldn't that be great?!
ANDREW
But.. sadly.. no
XANDER
You got a date?
ANDREW *excited*
Yes! Can you believe that?
KENNEDY
Actually, no, but I can when I see her. She's meeting you here right?
ANDREW
Well... no
KENNEDY
Why not? Even Dawn brought her boyfriend.
DAWN
And you see how well that turned out? He got kidnapped the first night I brought him.
XANDER *whispering to Dawn*
Dawn, you're not helping here
XANDER
Well, what is she like?
Andrew's looks at the door.
ANDREW
Nice... okay, I gotta go
Waving goodbye, Andrew exits the Summers' home, leaving the rest of the gang dumbfounded.
After standing there for about five seconds, it is finally Kennedy who is able to talk.
KENNEDY
Andrew has a date! Who would've thought?
XANDER
Who would date Andrew?
DAWN
Maybe she's a preying mantis.
XANDER
Hey!
DAWN
Or an Inca Mummy Girl.
XANDER
Double Hey!
KENNEDY
Yeah Xander, you're the only dateless person now. Even supernerd got a date.
DAWN
Oh come on. It's not like he's the biggest nerd on the planet.
KENNEDY
Well.. maybe not the biggest. But he's definitely in the top ten.
DAWN *smiles*
I still hope that it's a nice girl.
WILLOW
Yeah, me too Dawnie.
Xander isn't saying anything, but his expression shows enough. Willow notices and quickly tries to change the subject.
WILLOW
Okay, anyone up for patrol?
The gang agrees and grabs some weapons. Kennedy takes a broadsword, Xander a big axe and Dawn packs her usual
crossbow. Willow, also as usual, doesn't use a weapon. Then they leave.

We're at the training room in the Magic Box. Giles and Kennedy are training. They are working on the quarterstaff again.
Kennedy seems to be doing better than before. She also has pads on so she doesn't get hurt... too much.
She gives Giles a pretty good fight, they both take some hits, but Kennedy wins.
He stands up to go again. Another round is fought. This time, Giles seems to be winning.
Willow enters the backroom. Giles is surprised for a minute and Kennedy hits him on the head. Fortunately, Giles is
wearing protective gear, so it doesn't hurt him so much.
GILES
May I say... Ow!
KENNEDY
Sorry
WILLOW
Did I interrupt anything
Giles glares at Willow and then smiles.
GILES
Of course not. There is something I want to discuss with you.
GILES *to Kennedy*
This'll only take a minute
Giles and Willow walk to the other side of the training room. Kennedy can see them talk, but she can't hear a word
they say. It doesn't seem to be an argument, just Giles asking something and Willow agreeing.
They walk back to Kennedy.
KENNEDY
So Giles, ready to get your ass kicked again?
GILES
I have a better idea.
WILLOW
Te invoc tahrn ghare ma. Oge sa fa dunh. Esverra!
A demon emerges from the ground. He stands completely still. Kennedy is
startled. The demon is human size, has a red skin and a tail. Other than that, he reselmbles a human.
KENNEDY
Whoa Will... did you do that?
WILLOW
Yes, and you're gonna fight it
KENNEDY *confident*
Ok then
WILLOW *smiles*
So you're ready?
KENNEDY *confident*
Yes, ready and able!
WILLOW
Essessi vadul intende!
The creature seems to awake. Kennedy jumps at the creature but he swings his arm and shoves her to the other side of
the room. The creature comes for Giles. Willow creates a barrier in front of Giles.
WILLOW *calm* *to the demon*
No no... just her
Willow points to Kennedy and the demon turns his attention back to Kennedy, who got up by now.
Grabbing the quarterstaff, she attacks the demon. She hits the demon a couple of times. But then the demon
suddenly lunges forwards and grabs Kennedy's throat. Kennedy is surprised by this attack and falls backwards.
The demon still holding her throat, lands on top of her. He hits Kennedy in the face and starts choking her then.
Kennedy drops the quarterstaff, which she still held in her hands, and starts trying to get the demon's hands from
her throat. Then, the demon turns to dust.
WILLOW
And the demon wins!
KENNEDY *trying to defend herself*
No he didn't. He lost. Look.. dust!
Kennedy points at the pile of dust on the floor.
GILES
If Willow hadn't destroyed the demon, you'd be dead now.
KENNEDY *to Willow*
You don't think you can teach me any of those cool spells?
WILLOW
I suppose we can try, but don't get your hopes up. I tried to teach Buffy too and it got
us nowhere. I guess it's just something you have or don't have. But, like I said, we can try.
GILES
But in the meantime, I think we can spend our time on more urgent training.
Giles hands Kennedy a crossbow.
KENNEDY
That is more like it. What can I shoot?
Giles points at the dummy on the other side of the room.
GILES
Try to hit the dummy in the heart.
Kennedy confidently fires the crossbow and is very dissapointed when it misses the dummy completely.
KENNEDY
Damn! How does Dawn do that?
WILLOW
Practice sweetie.... practice

We are at some construction site. Among the workers, we see Xander walking with a hard-hat on.
Xander walks inside the building and sees one of his co-workers lying on the floor.
Upon closer inspection, he finds that the guy is hurt bad. He immediately calls out for his men
and a couple of construction workers come rushing in.
XANDER
John, call 911.... Mark, get the first aid kit
Both men rush off to do what they were told as Xander tries to stop the bleeding.

We are still at the construction site. It is later now. Xander is sitting on a bench with one of his co-workers.
It a different guy than the ones we've seen before
XANDER *no anger*
What the hell happened?
CONSTRUCTION WORKER
It looked like a big animal attacked him.
XANDER
A big animal? How could you tell?
CONSTRUCTION WORKER
Clawmarks. There were several big clawmarks all over his body and face.
XANDER
Then I'd better call someone to hunt that animal down
Xander walks away.
CONSTRUCTION WORKER
He'll survive. It's not your fault Harris.
XANDER
No... it's not

We are at casa Harris. The gang has assembled there, Giles, Kennedy, Willow, Dawn and Xander.
XANDER
We have to do something!
GILES
And you're sure this is not just an animal?
XANDER
This is Sunnydale Giles... besides, if it was an animal, it was very big.
KENNEDY
How do you know?
XANDER
Big clawmarks... big monster.
WILLOW
Ok, so we go to the site and we see if we can track that demon... or animal
The gang leaves, heavily armed.

At the construction site. It is now night. The gang splits up to check the site for clues.
Willow and Kennedy take one half and Xander, Giles and Dawn take the other.
After awhile, they both come back to the entrance.
XANDER *whispers*
And?
WILLOW *whispers*
Nothing. You?
XANDER *whispers*
No luck here either
WILLOW *whispers*
Why are we whispering?
XANDER *whispers*
I don't know
KENNEDY *whispers*
There's a demon in the shadows over there
Kennedy points her head at an alley close to the construction site.
The gang looks at the direction and see the demon hiding in the shadows.
Kennedy turns to the demon and starts running towards it. The others are just after her.
The demon turns around and runs away, into the dark alley.
The gang arrives at the alley.
KENNEDY
I can't see a thing.
WILLOW
Lumus solarus!
A small orb of light flows into the alley. We can clearly see everything in thr alley now, including the demon who
jumps out of the alley and onto Kennedy. He raises his hand to cut Kennedy open, but a bolt from Willow's hand pushes
the demon off Kennedy.
The demon turns his attention to Willow. Willow attacks the demon with a powerful blast of energy and altrough it
isn't without effect, the demon does not stop and slams Willow to the ground.
Then, a crossbow-bolt pierces the demon's head. That doesn't have the desired effect however. The demon pulls
it out and attacks Dawn. He bashes her to the ground and hits her with a powerful blow to the chest.
He is then knocked away again. He looks back and notices that Willow has recovered.
Then, from behind him, Xander and Giles attack the demon with their weapons. They are both using a big axe.
The demon gets hit, pushes Xander and Giles aside and runs away.
WILLOW *Out of breath*
Damn. That blow could have easily knocked down an elephant.
GILES
Maybe he has some sort of resistance against magic
XANDER *scared*
Guys....
Willow and Giles turn to Xander, who is sitting on the ground, next to Dawn. Dawn is out cold.
Giles runs over to Dawn and checks her pulse.
GILES
Her pulse is fine.... and she's breathing... let's take her to my car..

We're at the hospital. It looks a lot like the same room Andrew and Xander were in before. This time, there is only
one bed in the room. Dawn is in the bed. She's awake.
DAWN
Am I a total wuss now?
XANDER
Are you kidding... of course not.
Giles walks in.
WILLOW
Ok Giles, what's wrong with her?
GILES *to Dawn*
Well, the doctor said that you have a severe concussion and some broken ribs. You'll be fine,
but it'll take a couple of weeks to heal.
DAWN
Thank god. What was that anyway?
Everyone turns towards Giles.
GILES
Well.... I don't know
XANDER
Our fountain of knowledge
WILLOW
We'll have to do some research.
DAWN
I can do research
XANDER
That's not a good idea Dawn
DAWN
I think it is, just give me something
WILLOW
Sweetie, Xander's right. Try to rest.
DAWN
But...
GILES
Rest
Dawn looks at them as they walk out. When they're gone, Dawn smiles, closes her eyes and goes to sleep.

We are at an unknown house. Andrew and some girl are walking to the front door. The girl is about the same
length as Andrew. She is quite pretty and has short black hair. They don't seem at all nervous.
GIRL
I had a really good time Andrew
ANDREW
Well Rachel, I had a good time too
The two share a quick goodbye kiss. Rachel opens the front door and walk into the house. Andrew walks away.

Kennedy, Willow, Xander and Giles are at the Magic Box. They are wearing the same clothes,
so it's probably the same night. Books are all over the table and Willow is working on her laptop.
GILES *reads excited*
I have something here....
XANDER
Okay Giles, now is a good chance to talk
GILES
Oh, sorry.... The creature is called an Ahrga and they're incredibly strong and hard to kill
KENNEDY
We kinda got that part Giles.
GILES
Of course... it has a big resistance to magic. But it can be killed by decapitation.
WILLOW
That's not realy my area of expertise, Giles.
Giles looks at Kennedy. After a few seconds, Kennedy notices this.
KENNEDY
What?! Me?
GILES
Yes, you. I heard that Willow once imbued you with strength and speed. That could help.
KENNEDY
Against a demon like this? I don't know.
WILLOW
Come on Kennedy, we'll be right there with you
Kennedy realizes that she doesn't really have a choice here.
KENNEDY
Ok then, let's do it... again.
XANDER
Ok Will, do your thing.
WILLOW
That's not so easy, Kennedy and I have to perform a ritual.
Willow and Kennedy walk towards the backroom. The Xander and Giles follow them a few steps.
WILLOW
Just the two of us. The rest can stay here.
Willow and Kennedy go to the backroom while the rest stays behind. After a few minutes, Willow and Kennedy return.
KENNEDY
All powered up.
GILES
Alright then, let's go
They grab their weapons and then they go.

The gang arrives at the construction site again. The search for awhile, but the demon is not there.
XANDER
Ok Will, your turn

They are now walking through a cemetery. The place if full of crypts and mausoleums.
They come to a clearance and see the demon standing in the middle.
KENNEDY
Well... here goes
WILLOW
Ahmarath tse ma invoc dahar
A bolt of fire hits the Ahrga. It is not really hurt however.
Xander, Giles and Kennedy take this moment to attack. They all start chopping on the demon.
The demon swings his arms and waves all three from their feet.
WILLOW
Threg sum cham
Another bolt of energy hits the demon. he is stunned for just a second, which gives Kennedy enough time to walk to the
Ahrga, swing her axe and decapitate him. She waits for it to turn to dust.
KENNEDY
Hey! Why isn't it turning to dust? Damn demons!
GILES
You'll just have to bury it
KENNEDY
Me? Why me?
XANDER *smiles*
It's your sacred duty
WILLOW
Guys!
Willow looks around and notices that the entire clearance is surrounded by vampires.
KENNEDY *smiles*
Hey vamps! Well... they can't be tougher than Argo there.
GILES
That's Ahrga, and no.... but it is ten of them.
WILLOW
Ahmarath tse ma invoc dahar
A ball of fire is hurled at one of the vampires who, upon impact, turnes to dust.
The other nine look at each other, turn around and run away.
KENNEDY
That's pathetic
GILES
I'll just have to live with the fact that I wasn't knocked down for a change.

We're at the hospital. Kennedy, Xander, Giles and Willow are walking through the hallways.
They arrive at Dawn's room. Mitch is already there.
XANDER
Hey Dawnster, how are you doing?
DAWN
Better. So, you killed the demon?
WILLOW
Yes we did
DAWN
Good... good!
The doctor enters. The doctor politely introduces himself and shakes hands with everyone in the room.
When we reaches Kennedy, he is surprised.
DOCTOR
Ow!
With her increased strength, Kennedy almost squashed the good doctor's hand.
KENNEDY
Sorry
DOCTOR
It's ok. Now, Dawn *turns to Dawn*, take one of these.
He hands Dawn a small bottle with pills. Dawn takes one and swallows it.
GILES *to doctor*
When can she go home?
DOCTOR
That concussion was quite heavy. So, just to be on the safe side, we'd like to keep her in for a few days.
The doctor leaves and on his way out, he bumps into Andrew. They apologize to each other and continue.\
Andrew carries a small fruitbasket.
ANDREW
Hello all!
XANDER
Hey! What are you doing here?
ANDREW
Well duh!
XANDER
Sorry, I meant... didn't you have a date?
ANDREW
Well, yeah. She's waiting for me downstairs. I just came to see how Dawn is doing.
He gives Dawn the fruitbasket. Everyone else in the room looks embarrassed because they didn't bring Dawn anything.
ANDREW
So... how *are* you doing?
DAWN
Well, you just bumped into my doctor. He said I'm fine but he still wants me to stay a few
days. For observation and all.
KENNEDY
Well Andrew, now's the time to introduce your date
ANDREW
No, let's not.
DAWN
Oh, come on.
ANDREW
What about the whole, when I brought my boyfriend he got immediately kidnapped, part?
Dawn looks at Mitch.
MITCH
I'm still alive and healthy, so everything's ok
DAWN
Oh, come on!
Andrew takes a long pause. He can almost see him thinking of what could happen.
ANDREW
Alright then. Wait a minute and I'll get her.
The gang waits for a few minutes until Andrew and Rachel come in.
ANDREW
Everyone, this is Rachel. Rachel, this is everyone. That's Giles, that's Willow.....
RACHEL *surprised*
Kennedy??!!
The look on Kennedy's face indicates that she is not really happy to see Rachel.
