 (OOC: Continuation of earlier post.)

Virgil slammed his fist on the console in frustration. Close to four years' faithful service to the Fleet, risking his ass first as a test pilot, then in combat agianst the Imperium--all so they could put a price on his head as if he were a common criminal! Even though common criminals didn't exactly warrant eight and nine-figure bounties...

For a fleeting moment, he wisheed he'd just gone out and killed Dugan as he'd been ordered to, instead of letting him get his story out--then dismissed the thought instantly. Virgil wanted no place in a orgainzation that would do something like that to a man, and he knew it. They'd destroyed him to conceal their own agenda--and from the looks of things, Virgil was about to become their next sacrificial lamb. By now they'd already told his family--who he'd been unable to contact for over a month, thanks to the quarantine--that he was a dangerous traitor, who had to be destroyed "Int hte intrest of national security." That thought pissed him off--not only were he and his newfound family doomed to be chased around the galaxy for the rest of their natural lives, but his name would be destroyed as well...

Or maybe not...

Virgil turned back to Redd, a determined glint in his eyes. "What I'm about to suggest is easily the most dangerous thing we've ever done--and that's saying a lot--but it's the only hope Dugn and I have of cleariing our nmes, and of us having anything even resembling a normal life. If we screw this up, some of us, myself included, might not be coming back...but if we pull iit off we may all be set for life." He smiled. "Think you're up to it, Hairball?"
