(OOC: Amen to that, Dugan :-)...Oh, ansd since you asked for my addy, it's swordbreakerii@juno.com)
Virgil's collar itched horribly, and unthinking he made the mistake of trying to sctatch it.
"AGGGH!! GODDAMN!!!" He jumped as the senses--blotting shock racked him. Well, THIS sucks... He turned to Lyn and Glenn, not sure if the mechanic was up yet. He was thankful for the company, and that they hadn't been seperated--otherwise he feared he'd go insane down here. He culd sense the emotions of those around them, but usually he could block them out. However, the unusually level of helplessness and despair in the slaves around them was filtering into Virgil's mind, affecting his judgement--and bringing him dangerously close to panic...
"Wonder what they plan to do with us?" he asked rethorically, trying to stave off the nervousness.
"Sell you, of course...eventually," replied someone in a flight suit, who was about ttheir age and looked as if he may have been an engineer aboard a spacecraft. He looked up at them, and Virgil was stunned by the hollow, haunted look in his eyes. "If you're lucky...," he continued, looking at the three of them in turn, "that's all they'll do to you..."
Virgil paled as he realized what the boy was saying. And grew even more horrified at what he said next.
"I....wasn't one of the lucky ones..."
Then he wrapped his arm around his legs and rocked back in forth, lost in his own terrifying memories.
Virgil shuddered. If he ever thought nothing could scare him, he realized just how wrong he was just then. He turned to Lyn and Glenn again, trying unsucessfully to keep the fear out of his voice.
"Um....guys?...I think we'd best star thinking about getting the hell out of this mess...like, RIGHT NOW..."
