Redd moved closer cautiously, then followed where RJ was pointing.

"You mean...they're that close? Virgil is that close?"

Unconsciously she laid a hand over her belly. Soon, little one, you'll meet your father...the child's only response was a sleepy murmur, and she smiled slightly.

"Thanks, RJ, for everything...I know you don't think you helped me, or won't believe it, but you did. Consciously or just going about your business, I don't care what your excuse is. Thank you."

Probably risking her life, she reached out and pulled RJ to her for a brief hug, then scurried off back to the room to prepare for her meeting with Virgil once more. Only a little longer...
