She stood a short distance away and lowered her head to graze. Very slowly she grazed closer and closer to the big gray stud. The black colt took the sugar cube greedily and looked for more sugar cubes and orange stuff that he liked so much. He showed no interest at all in his dam. He fancied himself completely independant of her. His ears perked as the sound of heavy shoed hooves approched. He watched closely the other horse as it came and went. He was filled with immense curiosity at the human who was on the horses back. He wondered what that was like.
