• South shore little league softball team to state tourney -- Bonnie (i can live with myself), 15:01:09 07/23/09 Thu (cpe-74-72-31-194.nyc.res.rr.com/74.72.31.194)
  This is a little insight that was done to us in once again another cheating win. We were NEVER TOLD BEFORE THE GAME about the rule. It's amazing how Coach Esposito adds that now. Keep in mind that the home plate ump called our player safe! There wasn't even a play at the plate. Both dugouts were already on the field, us cheering, the other team getting ready to line up. Then without being asked for input, the first base ump calls our girl out. Coach Esposito told our coach that he didn't want to win this game if this was how they won it! Now all of a sudden, "A rule is a rule!". Nice way to cover your cheating asses South Shore! We heard about your rep before this and sure enough you proved what even every other league in SI said, what you lack in ability you make up for by questionable calls by home umps.   Hello All,
  I have a question concerning live pitching at the minor league level - ages 7-10. My son is 7 years old and last year he played in the underhand league. This year, the 7 year olds had to move up to minor league. In the years past, a pitching machine was used here up to about 3 years ago. This is the first year for 7 year olds playing in monors. Anyway, I had my reservations. My son did ok in the underhand league, but was not sure about him facing live pitching. I played baseball all my life and I do not know if I agree with live pitching at this age or not. The games are long, low innings. There are a lot of walks, hit batsmen and strike-outs.
  Do people think their should be live pitching at this age. I guess the board says they are doing to in order to develope pitchers for little league. Would love to hear some input as well as any web sites that may help on the topic.
