Subject: anyone from Williams Ave on this site?

I grew up on Williams Ave across the street from P.S.260.We were a multiracial neighborhood and I believe it made us all better people with an appreciation for all the different cultures.I remember many of the kids I grew up with like Dale Mills and Mila Riffas and Daphne Ferguson and so many ohers. If there is anyone who remembers me/my family(Ingrassia's)please let me hear from you-(I was Larry Andersons girlfriend for a short time till I found out he asked me out after another girl had turned him down! I remember him leaving for Vietnam and how I cried when I found out he had died over there! He was a GREAT GUY and I found his name on the wall and I cried and cried and my husband cried with me-even though he didn't know him or any of my friends from Canarsie-he knew how I felt about all of them as I talked about them all the time and wondered how they were!

Lived at 904 Williams Ave from 1953 until 1963 then moved to 569 e 108st
I knew the Mills family, Riffas family, Ferguson family and all the folks you knew. We moved to ENY in 1973. The Breckenridge PJ'S was a nice place to grow up. PS 260 JHS 211 and Canarsie HS were ok but a little racist. Long time, great times.
