The large brute wasn't exactly oblivious to the turmoil that seemed to seethe below the surface of the now ebon beauty. Unable to determine what the problem might be, he shook his head slowly. *{Is that just coincidence?}* he ventured carefully, afraid that his absence had adversely affected her in more ways than one.
