Booted feet landed carefully in the hot sands beneath her home, ivory hued wings tucking neatly to her back. The warm wind pulled at the silvery lock of her thick and wavy hair, sapphire spheres gazing about her surroundings. A bundle was held lovingly in her arms, wrapped up in a pale pink blanket. A soft cooing sound bubbled up from the small being she held, causing Windris to look at her daughter. The baby was gazing up at her with shimmering blue eyes, a happy smile gracing her soft face. Even with the heaviness weighing on her heart right now, Windris couldn't help but smile. She'd never regret Xaria. One wonderful thing that she would always have from what her and Chres had had was this beautiful creature she now held in her arms. Even if she'd lost her lover, she wouldn't lose her daughter. The femme was determined of that much. Of course, there was only one person that came to mind for her when she thought of someone taking Xaria away from her. Lethe.

Gaze was directed towards the dungeons of the desert, her eyes narrowing in anger. It was that one person's fault that everything was falling apart for those in the Sands. Lethe had caused all of the distress for everyone living here. She'd ruined their lives with her hate. Windris wished the damn bitch would just drop dead, but there was only one way that would happen. If one of them killed her, and Windris couldn't let that happen because they might lose Jah as a side-effect. Soft sigh was lost in the wind, minx walking forward. The baby continued cooing happily as she bounced it up and down on her hip, the pink blanket protecting the child's eyes and skin from the blazing sun. Minx rubbed as her daughter's back in a soothing manner, murmering nothings as she thought to herself about the kind of situation they were now in...

Delicate fae in both body and mind stood not to far away from the two, her haunted eyes unfocused and crazed- as was the usual repertoire, these days. The wraith female let out a sigh and plopped down in the sand on her belly, pressing her cheek against the warmth of it. Her hands sifted through the sand nonchalantly, obviouslly not as interested in the goings-ons of the Sands as other's were. She hummed softly to herself, smiling blankly.

Minx's gaze was caught by the moving figure not too far away, sapphire pools squinting against the hot sun so that she could focus better. It was Jah, making a soft smile tug at Windris' lips. Her friend may not be right in the mind anymore, but she still cared for her a great deal. One part of the reason that she couldn't do Lethe harm for she would lose Jah in the process. Booted feet moved, minx slowly walking towards her friend as the other lay belly down in the sand. Jah reminded her so much of a child right now. Making very little noise, but still enough for Jah to hear her, femme addressed her from about ten feet away. A safe enough distance if Jah became startled. Husky vocals were let past lush silvery tinted lip, femme's voice happy and soothing in tone.

"Hello Jah. What are you up to?"

Hands stalled in their inspection of the sand, eyes raising upwards to look at Windris, "I'm..looking for something. Lost it. Gotta find it." She turned her eyes back to the sand, her fingers just sifting through it playfully- niether digging or even looking at the sand at all.

Femme watched her friend, frown tugging at her lips. The first thing that came to Windris' mind at Jah's words was that Jah had lost her mind, but somehow she highly doubted that was what the other woman was talking about. Windris sighed softly, gaze flickering from Jah to the little winged being she was holding in her own arms. Windris had been hoping that Xaria could maybe heal her aunt, but as more time went on, she was beginning to doubt that more and more. Only time would tell though, for maybe it was still possible to save Jah. Offering another soft smile as the baby in her arms stirred, minx looked back at the winged vixen on the sand.

"Well, I'm going to go for a walk with Xaria. You're welcome to come if you like Jah."

Ivory wings fluttered softly at her back as she turned away, minx walking away. Xaria would row up fast, so Windris wanted to cherish the moments she had with her daughter as a baby as long as she could. Blue eyes sparkled brightly up at the older minx, the baby gurgling happily as they walked further away at a slow enough pace for Jah to catch up if she liked. The sun was a warm caress on their backs, something that wasn't often seen in this terra. However, since the birth of the child in Windris' arms, there had always been one little tear in the black clouds that let the sun shine through...
