I worked on the farm in the mid 60's as a kid from nearby Georgetown. Frank and Rose were the owners then and their son's, Pete and Ron were working at the market too. I worked in the fields picking tomatoes, strawberries, peppers and weeding by hand. Cleaned the chicken coop too. Fifty cents per hour. Some times Frank's mother who must have been in her 70's or 80's would be out picking too. Good character building job for a 13 y/o boy. Frank was a good man, he drove our school bus too. Sometimes he'd take us to the market in Philly at mid night and buy us cheese steaks at Donkeys Place in Camden on the way home. I think when we first moved to Marlton in 57, Frank was still using a mule to cultivate row crops.
