Her mental tirade was cut short as his question tore painfully at her heart. Bowing her head, she thought for a moment before replying. -*I really don't know Lowell. It must be obvious how I feel about him but I'm not sure if it's returned*- Wincing, she lifted her gaze. -*I'm sorry if my words offend after you so recently opened yourself to me. I..I just really need a friend right now*- Her trembling lip and welling eyes pleaded for him not to turn her away.
