The contact start awhile back, because of some comments made on another message board. There was a claim that the Boerboel wasn’t appraised by Kobus and to help dispute this claim the breeder talked to the rep and posted the appraisal form on the board that had Kobus’ signature. It was all very stupid. Plus the breeder continued to contact the rep in order to get more info. on the breed itself as well as the appraisal system. I don’t believe he started off trying to get them classified as Boerboels. But after the conversation I think it may have changed his mind. He didn’t do anything wrong and isn’t doing anything wrong. If I breed two dogs and the AKC or some other organization says they are willing to look at my dogs and if they fit, then am I doing anything wrong?

Calvin, I'm not trying to get my pups recognised as Boerboels. I have a standard and registration of my own and frankley have no interest in the SABT. The thought of getting the pups appraised never entered my mind. I only wanted to bring the pups with me to show how much they resemble their father and many other Boerboels. I was told they would be looked at by Kobus and examined. I was never told they would get an official apprasial. I have no intentions of breeding Boerboels, there is way to much controversy and far too many diversities in the breed. I march to the beat of my own drum and I am content with what I am doing with my dogs.I don't see many others doing what I do and accomplishing much more than putting pups on the ground to only end up in pounds or put down due to temperament issues due to poor handling and mistreatment of a working dog. Sandman is a fine animal and will be used in my ABM program. Your statement that was posted was only half correct , you need to retract the part that states , depending on how the pups look will be enough to get them appraised. YES, since Kobus is not coming Gale is calling him on the phone to talk to him. Do you find something sinister there too? It is what it looks like...2 men talking about dogs, Boerboels, Molossers and bull dogs. Nothing more, nothing less. I gave you Kobus's phone number and you can call him too if you have any doubts.
