Subject: HBSA Clinics in USA

The HBSA's Position is:
The South African Boerboel is historically a versatile farm dog known for it's docile temperament and as a protector of the family. Natural selection under a harsh environment resulted in a strong, agile dog that was the daily companion of the South African pioneer.

During the last 50 or so years, much of the outstanding characteristics of the Boerboels had been lost due to negligent breeding and commercial exploitation. The HISTORICAL BOEROEL ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH AFRICA, (HBSA), has now launched a program to breed back to the 'HISTORICALLY CORRECT BOERBOEL.' For the first time the Boerboel will be tested for temperament, functionality, and working ability along with conformation. Dogs that reflect the desirable features of the Historically Correct Boerboel will be identified and entered into a special breeder registry. Their progeny will undergo similar testing to raise the standard of uniformity, endurance, stable character, correct physique and health.

By joining the HBSA you show your support for a great breed and become
part of the Challenge of it's ennoblement.

The clinic instruction will be provided by Mr. Carel Koch, accompanied by Mr. Jan LeDoux. Both gentleman will be visiting here from South Africa.
