That's why the health guarantee is soooo important... and a review of that contract/guarantee to see if it will cover problems like Demo that don't show up RIGHT away... Of course as a breeder before I would refund or change the contract of a puppy that came down with it after a year of age...I'd need some proof or voucher from the vet that they beleive it is generalized and due to an inherited trait...follow up would be necessary though...and any breeder that doesn't insist they find out if a pup got Demo at any time...isn't responsible...because they aren't following up on the offspring they're producing...

There's lots to finding and being a responsible breeder...and $$$ really shouldn't be part of the equation.
