Subject: Pug eats BB LOL!!!!!

I wrote this on the USBA board, but i want your opinions also. Only two people gave me their opinions there.

Hi everyone. I have a little problem I need your opinions on.:

I have my wonderful 5 1/2 month old male BB named Link. I also have a 1 year old female pug named Frankie. The last 2 months I had to keep them apart because the pug had surgery on her knees and both her back legs were in casts. To make it even worse, after her casts were off and her knees were healed, she went into heat. She is done with her cycle and I am trying to put them back together. Link loves Frankie, but Frakie is defensive of Link.
Frankie goes strait for his neck and bites him. He thinks it is playing. He never hurts her. She doesn't break his skin, but I am worried. She looks like the devil when he comes in the house. I want him to be a house dog also and that is what I am working at. He loves it and wants to be in the house. Frankie thinks she is the queen of the castle.

They mostly get into it when there are toys involved. So I took the toys away to see if it would be better. It is not as bad, but they still go at it. He goes to play with her and she attacks. Maybe attack is a strong word, but she sure isn't playing nice. As big as Link is he is so gentle with her.
I have put her in thr crate when it gets too bad, but my Link just goes and lays right next to her in the crate.

They used to get along when they were younger and I want them to get along again.
I know it was mostly the being apart, but that was unavoidable.

Please if anyone has suggestions let me know.

Thaks in Advance.

KJ
