John said he got two dogs from another breeder and put them in the pen with a dog that had demodex. I am the breeder he speaks of. I am no expert and have never made claims to be an expert, but here's what I do know. My female, 'Doc', had fifteen puppies, she lost two, leaving me with thirteen healthy puppies. John took two puppies, I gave away two puppies, the other nine puppies went from California to Georgia. TO MY KNOWLEDGE none of the eleven pups that did not go to John's got demodex. Doc has never had demodex and Vegter, the sire of the puppies, has never had demodex. Any conclusions one draws from this is an OPINION and one example is not scientific proof, but this one example would lend one to think the two pups that John got from me contracted demodex by contact. If anyone who has one of Doc's puppies has gotten demodex I would certainly like to know and you have my permission, (as if my permission was needed), to post it publicly. To ALL, have a great day, Jerry.
