i've read MANY rude, mean and hurtful things on this board and others.
i believe that this 'cyber-world' can be a rather nasty place at times.
i'm not defending or denouncing anything terry has posted.
as someone who works in the medical field, i agree that a positive state of mind (among many other things) does have an effect on a patients health.
what i was trying to say was:
i believe you should have stuck with disagreeing on whatever it was you disagreed with in terry's post.
had you wished to add a comment about anything else, you might have wished terry well and left it at that or you may have shared your own experience being a survivor in a private email.
you accuse terry of being mean and rude yet have lowered yourself to being the same.
this board (and any other) are well suited for debate and outright argument and both (i believe) are an excellent learning tool for all involved.
but...one person cannot carry on the nastiness alone.
terry has made choices that some see as justified; some see as moronic.
posts have been made by terry and others that some believe are downright ridiculous in an adult world.
we all need to remember why we are here.
why we read the boards at all.
we need to keep focused on the DOGS not the personalities behind them.
time will tell the truth of the tale.
until then, be the better man and take the high road.
