Please post the advertisement that I placed on John Blackwell's message board...PLEASE. I want to see it. I've never advertised on any message board but the SABT message board. I do not consider John Blackwell's registry a legitimate registry...no one-person registry ever could be. When a registry answers to one person, well, they could register a goat as a dog if they wanted to. And the one Blackwell dog that I saw was so crippled and deformed that he made a skinny goat look good. Poor Duece moved so reluctantly and uncomfortably when I saw him that it broke my heart. The fact that JB would even GIVE someone a dog like that was enough to tell me all I needed to know about Mr. Blackwell.

While you are doing so much research in boerboels and breeders, etc., why don't you spend some time talking to American Bulldog breeders...JB's previous breed. It was a real eye-opener for me. And has anyone ever checked with the American Kennel Club to verify JB's claims that he handled a Mastiff that won at Best in Show at Westminster?

As I said, anyone who wants to verify my dogs' hip tests and registry information can get the info from me and has my permission to verify that info with the registry and the testing facility. I feel no need to stand on a post and scream, "I am the best...all others are trash because nobody knows more than me!" or "My dogs are the only good ones in the world...everybody else's dogs are garbage and their breeding ethics stink?" That is the basic message I have seen from JB for years now...unless the people he is posting about are somehow tied to him.

As for Melinda Proffer's "experimental" breeding, my opinion is that every litter is experimental in some way, especially a first litter between two dogs. Even if you had two perfect dogs (impossibility), there is the chance that some of the pups may be born with problems. I think that her choice was her choice to make...I don't see that anyone has been deceived by her telling them that the father had perfect hips. I have known Melinda and Randy for several years now, and have never known either of them to lie about any of their dogs.

On the other hand, I have seen JB lie over and over about his past and watched him vilify anyone who might question him, no matter how outrageous his claims were. As others have said, I have a right to my opinion about people like JB, Ellen/Angel Roberts, and Ron Swart. I don't like to see people or animals hurt by people with their lack of ethics and poor breeding practices. And, yes, I lump JB in with Ron Swart and Ellen because he was the person who helped both of them get started in boerboels. Just because he suddenly denies association with them when they take their fall doesn't mean the ties weren't there to start with. Ellen/Angel told me very early on...just after she received Duece...that JB was her mentor and that she learned everything she knew from him.

You are welcome to your opinion of me just as anyone else who reads and posts on this board. I will be respectful of your opinion when I see that you are respectful of mine.
