Re: Katy Johnson
Katy was " un-pageanty" at Miss USA - She wore nothing from "pageant stores" and had her own style. She seemed low key - not intense and focused like I would expect. I liked her and will keep in touch. -- A friend of Katy, 14:51:47 03/11/01 Sun
I attended Miss USA and I disagree. She looked very old-school pagenty. She looked like a 1985 contestant. -- Anonymous, 13:24:24 03/12/01 Mon
"Miss Pageanty" was Miss Texas - certainly not Miss Vermont. Vermont's competition gown was designer - not pageant! And her clothes to parties were designer - not pageant - unlike many of the other delegates. -- Joan P., 16:45:30 03/12/01 Mon
Again, I disagree. She may have had designer gowns, but they certainly looked pageanty. Her whole look was VERY pageanty, right down to the teased hair and globs of makeup. We're all allowed our own opinions and mine is that Miss Vermont was the most pageanty girl in the pageant, with Texas a close second. The only difference is that onstage Texas seemed more natural, thus the look didn't hurt her as much as VT, just in my own opinion. -- Anonymous, 17:39:00 03/12/01 Mon |
