Subject: Miss Jamaica Universe

Fifteen Jamaican beauties will vie for the opportunity to represent Jamaica at the Miss Universe Pageant in Puerto Rico this May. The finalists were selected last Tuesday at private elimination,and made their first public appearance at Saturday's "Eye on Fashion" at the Hilton Hotel's Poolside. The finalists will make a round of appearances during the month of March,culminating with the Grand Coronation Show at the Hilton Kingston Hotel's Ballroom on Saturday March 31.

The Contestants are:
#1. Stacy-Ann Wills; A 20 year old University of Technology student.
#2. Maria Lewis; A 19 year old Sales Representative.
#3. Rashida Gopie; An 18 year old Sales Representative.
#4. Melissa Roche; A 22 year old Law student at the University of Sheffield in England.
#5. Keesha School; A 23 year old administrative assistant.
#6. Patrice Wiggian; A 23 year old appraisal assistant.
#7. Altoria Davis; A 20 year old student at the University of the West Indies and a flight attendant with Air Jamaica.
#8. Jerone Scott; A 24 year old student at Institute of Mamagement and Production.
#9. Natalia Cummings; A 21 year old University Student.
#10.Simone Scarlett; An 18 year old Medical Student at the Northern Caribbean University.
#11.Renee Harper;A 19 year old student at the University of the West Indies.
#12.Deidre-Ann Chen; An 18 year old Student.
#13.Zahra Burton; A 21 year old reporter and producer at Television Jamaica Ltd. (A local television station here in Jamaica).
#14.Ladisa Perry; A 21 year old student.
#15.Tricia Ann Bennett; A 25 year old Executive Concierge at Sandals Negril.
