It is a hard topic and I still trying my best to play it..... I have a book call "Top-Tone for saxophone" (I leave the book at band room so I don't know if the name is not correct.) It is a very nice book that talk about overtone in details.

At the beginning, I have just kept trying low Bb tone and then going upward. It took about one month to reach the upper 5th register. I think 5th register may be the critical one.

In your experience, which one is the most difficult one to reach at the beginning?
