make sure when you play them you are actually opening your throat instead of positioning your mouthpiece in a different angle. Basically the ideal of achieving that would be simply using your throat and your tongue (a technique called voicing, if you bump into Pluto Chu ask him to show you). Reason I am saying this is that you can go anything above the palm key D if you tighten the pressure around the mouthpiece thus the reed, so in a way you are squeaking instead of playing the real overtones. And again, there's a combination of factors that prevents you from reaching those notes and leaking being a major one of them.

yes, Pluto is great at the low Bb thing....he's control is so good....and the altissimos are so smooth...

anyway....besides all the techniques and methods to practice....some mpc is more capable to do so than others...
